Here is a quick guide to getting started on Cambly! This guide answers some of the most common questions Cambly subscribers ask.
We'll use the example of a 30 minutes x 3 days plan, our most popular plan.
Under this plan, you can take three lessons any time between Monday at 3 am and the next Monday at 3 am. The Cambly week restarts every Monday at 3am.
From the website, click on the calendar icon and then select [SCHEDULE A LESSON]!
Click on the date you would like to have a lesson and then choose:
- the time
- the length of the lesson
- the tutor
On a mobile device, just click the [magnifying glass] icon to choose a tutor!
Click on the tutor you like to see their full profile. Then, press the [Schedule] button on their profile to see when they're available. If they have slots open, just click on the date and time you prefer.
How to start a scheduled lesson
From the website, click on the calendar icon and then on the lesson.
On a mobile device, scroll down to the [Upcoming lessons] section on the home page and click [Call] when it's time to start the lesson!
Your lesson will start and end at the scheduled time, even if you're late! For example, a 30-minute lesson scheduled for 12 pm will start at 12:00 pm and end at 12:30 pm.
What to do if you can't attend your lesson
If you are unable to attend your lesson please cancel it at least 24 hours in advance.
If you cancel the lesson you will be able to use the minutes again within the current week. If you do not cancel the lesson in advance you will not be able to use those minutes again.
What to do if your tutor misses your lesson
If your tutor cancels at the last minute or doesn’t attend the lesson, be sure to press the [Cancel] button in the lobby instead of closing the tab, window, or app!
You can then schedule another lesson for later that day or another day that same week.
If your minutes haven't been returned for any reason, you can request for them to be returned! First, go to the [Progress] page and click on the lesson. Press the [Help] button and follow the steps! Be sure to make your request and schedule a new lesson before 3 am on Monday.
There's no need to contact us unless you aren't able to schedule another lesson.
You can change your plan anytime through your Cambly account on your mobile device or on the web. In the app, you can click [Menu] and change your subscription, or visit the Subscriptions page.
Go to your Account Settings page to pause your plan.
You can pause your plan for either 7 or 14 days.
To pause your child’s plan, you will need to write us.
To cancel your current plan, please write us.

Go back to the main Help Center page. Then, click the [Submit a Request] button at the bottom of the page.
How to delete your account
You can submit an account deletion request from your Account Settings page when you are logged in to the Cambly website. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to start the process of permanently deleting your account and all of your personal information.
How to unsubscribe from Cambly emails
You can unsubscribe from Cambly emails any time by navigating to your Notifications page. On this page, you can check and uncheck the boxes to choose which type of emails you would like to receive from Cambly.
