We’re sorry to hear that you can’t see your tutor during your lesson.
Cambly tutors all take a connection test before they start to teach for the day and we also test your connection before you start a lesson. We do this so that you can both have the best experience during your lesson.
However, the stability of an internet connection can change during your lesson.
When one or both people have a slow connection the video service will try to keep the call connected by disabling one or both video feeds. This is the reason why you won’t be able to see your tutor, you may see their picture or a black screen instead. If the connection improves the video feed will start up again.
If you can hear your tutor and you can see the whiteboard or you are simply having a conversation based lesson you may wish to stay in the classroom.
If this happens often you may wish to troubleshoot for any connection issues. This article may help.
