Still unable to connect?
-
Check the following:
-
-
- Your device is connected to the internet
- The Cambly app has permissions to use the internet
- You have enough storage capacity
- Your battery isn't low
- No other applications are running in the background or using your mic
- Your device is connected to the internet
-
-
- Try using a Wi-Fi connection instead of your mobile data or vice versa
- Log out, uninstall and then reinstall the app
If you are still unable to connect, try using another device or internet connection.

Mic and camera
As long as the Cambly App has access to your device’s microphone and camera, you tutor should be able to hear and see you. Check your mic and camera permissions:
iOS
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security
- Tap Camera or Microphone
- Turn the permissions switch on
Android
- Go to Settings > Apps
- Tap Permissions > Camera or Microphone
You can also just uninstall and then reinstall the Cambly app. After reinstalling, you'll be prompted to "Allow access to mic and camera?" the first time you open the app.

Audio
If your tutor isn't able to hear you at all, it could be your audio settings. If your tutor can hear some of what you're saying, it's likely your internet connection.
First check your that the Cambly app has access to your mic as described above.
Still can't be heard?
- Mute and unmute
- Use earphones or a headset
- Check that no other applications are using the mic
- Restart your device
- Log out, uninstall and reinstall the app
There may be other reasons why the audio output isn’t working based on the device type and brand. Check your device's user guide for more suggestions.
